Breaking News :

The General Assembly has adjourned without a budget.

The Democrats in the Senate (and a few Republicans) have decided to hold Virginia’s budget hostage to the Obamacaid Expansion, just as Terry McAuliffe said he would during last fall’s campaign. McAuliffe misleadingly backtracked when that didn’t play so well, but today we see that threat is being carried out after all.

The Democrats turned down House offers to have a special session on Medicaid separate from the budget, as well as an offer to extend the session a month.

This means budgets for education, police, the truly needy, local governments, transportation and a host of other priorities will be delayed because the Democrats want to shove this down our throats.  Now that the DC gang has taken over in Richmond, is our state now subject to a cold, calculating government that sees the citizens as mere pawns in their political games?

Now the Governor will call the General Assembly back in a special session on the budget on March 24.  This is clearly to give him more time between now and then to campaign and demagogue this issue.  The question is, will Virginians let him?  Will you?

There are people on Medicaid who either do drugs, aren’t looking for jobs, or just popping out babies just to get Medicaid. I know that there are a few people who are working part-time and full-time jobs who have medicaid. My sister-in-law and brother have it for 2 of their children, and my brother and sister-in-law both have jobs. Both don’t do drugs, and are hard workers. Come on Terry would you rather put your state in trouble just to pass your agenda?!
